Sirajul Islam -The prominent actor of Bangladesh

 

Sirajul-IslamSirajul Islam, born 15 May 1938 in Hooghly district of West Bengal. During adolescence, he plays on stage, worked through. He began working as a casual radio artist. In 1956, he joined the Public Relations department.

“Raja Elo Shohore” -(King came to town) is debut film of Sirajul Islam in film industry directed by Mohiuddin. In the film, he played the role of a professor.

Shirajul Islam has acted in about three hundreds more films. His notable films are ‘Nachghar’, Onek Diner Chena, Shit Bikel, Bondhon, Vayia, Rupban, Ujala, 13 No Feku Ustagar Len, Nayantara, Alibaba, Chawa Pawa, Gazi Kalu Champabati, Nishi Holo Bhore, Sosta Dinga, Momer Alo, Moynamoti, Je Agune Puri, Dorpochurno, Jaha Baje Shahnai, Binimoy, Dumurer Ful etc.

In 1984, Sirajul Islam received the National Film Award for the film “Chandranath” his directed. Sirajul Islam first directed film is “Janani – (Mother)”. The actors of this film are Shabana, Bulbul Ahmed, Anwar Hossain, Golam Mostafa, Rani Sarker, Sumita Devi, Sirajul Islam etc.

After that he was produced film “Sonar Horin – (Golden deer)”. The film also starred together in the first and last time Shabana, hairdressing, Babita and Suchorita. Was acting Razzak (dual role), Bulbul Ahmed, Ghulam Mustafa, Anwar Hossain, Anowara and Sumita Devi.

He has made more than thirty documentary. Sirajul Islam finally worked film is ‘Aarong’.

Somehow he was away from acting on various diseases due to old age. Tuesday morning, at 24/03/2015 he died at his home Niketan.
