“I won’t say anything publicly about the chief justice. If requires, I will talk to him physically”, Law Minister Anisul Haq said on Wednesday (May 3).

He made the comment while addressing a press briefing at his office at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

Anisul Haq said, “It was said that the honorable chief justice has made some comments. I will not react about his comments. The media will judge his statement.”

He further said that the present government will do nothing that goes against the freedom of express.

“Digital ICT Act (Information and Communication Technology) has been introduced. It will be eliminated if there is any diffidence in Section 57 of the act”, said the minister.

US ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Bernicat also attended the press briefing.
