Joint Forces have arrested Dr Renin Su, top leader of Arakan Army from Islampur area in Rajsthali upazila of the Rangamati early Wednesday.

Rangamati police super M Syed Tariqul Hasan told banglanews that acting on tip-off, a team of joint forces raided a house located in Islampur area around 3:00am. From the house, Dr Renin Su was arrested who went to hideout for long.

Dr Renin Su was accused in the two cases filed under terrorism prevention act and foreigners act.

On August 27, joint forces of Army and police detained Myanmar separatist group Arakan Army man from Taitongpara College gate of Rajsthali in Rangamati a day after attack on BGB camp.

During the time, law enforcers recovered three combat dresses, three laptops and two horses from his possession, said Rajasthali Thana OC Ohidullah Sarkar.

The two caretakers were detained on August 28 from Mobboi Punarbashan Para of the Rajsthali upazila.

Later, police filed two cases under terrorism prevention act and foreigners act accusing the four people, including Arakan separatist Ong Yang Rakhain.
